Overview

Water Gem is one of the 8 gems on legacy, and one of the easiest to obtain if you know what your doing. 2 players are recommended to obtain this gem, but one should be ok with some basic parkour skills, and a few attempts. Use trident kit. You can get to water gem by going up on the hill to the East of the center of FFA, and jumping into the well.

Entry

Swim: Part 1

Once jumping into the well and triggering the tripwire, you will be teleported to a water area. Here, you need to swim through a series of underwater tunnels. Part 1 is straight, with magma blocks on the bottom for air (crouch on them (info for if your under 3)). Swim past the pufferfish where you will eventually surface into a little alcove.

Going to the Gem, not the Trial

In water gem, there is a trial and the actual gem. right after you come out of the alcove, you can go to the gem or the trial. the image below shows what to expect.

Simply go to the gem, do these three jumps and you made it to Swim: Part 2

Swimming Part 2

After you do those three jumps, you fall into a pit of water. you swim through tunnels, to the pickaxe area. Use magma to breathe, and watch for drowned. The video below shows the route to take when swimming.

Pickaxe Parkour

Once you arrive at the pickaxe cave, you will have to do simple parkour to get to the top, obtaining the pickaxe. There is a drowned spawner, so be careful. There are vines that you climb to start the parkour. Watch the video below to see how to complete the parkour.

Going to the Boss

Once you complete the parkour then you must drop down and do the swimming section again to reach the boss area. Watch the video below to see how to complete the swimming section.

Conduits

Now we arrive to one of the hardest parts, the conduits. There are four conduits in total, and you have to break each one in order to summon the boss. In the boss area, there is a central chamber, and then underwater catacombs. These are big, and there is a very real chance you drown in them and end your run. The image below shows the layout of the catacombs, along with routes. you must click the button on the rim of the central chamber, then dive into the water, going to the catacombs. Only do one conduit at a time, and take the same exact route out.

Boss

Immediately after you break the last conduit, the boss will spawn in the central chamber. It is an elder guardian. Swim back up to the rim surrounding the chamber to prepare for the fight. Keep yourself above 5 hearts at any time. Through your trident at the boss and when you completely deplete your trident, the boss should be around 1/3 health. Now you have to go in with your sword and kill it. Watch out as the boss has wild attacks, listed below. it uses about one attack every minute, with a cooldown.

Once you kill the boss, the exit door should open, allowing you to exit the area. click the button in the exit room to get the gem and finish the challenge.
